While there have definitely been some deviations, fictional additions and huge swathes left right out, Ronnie’s life has mirrored mine fairly closely so far. So it’s probably not much of a spoiler to anyone who knows me to say Ronnie and Elaine have a future together. I look forward to telling their story (which I’m sure will somewhat mirror that of my wife and I, but also deviate, add, and leave things out) but I feel like this is a step into not just a new chapter but a whole new volume for Ronnie.
No, this doesn’t mean I’m ending the strip for a while or going on a hiatus, but I have decided that with the general craziness of the New Normal that is life with a toddler and an infant I’m going to officially start an update policy of once a week rather than twice. I’ll be aiming for every Monday, but we’ll see if another day ends up making more sense. But please, hold me to it.
So thus ends Volume 1 of the Life of Ronnie. Hopefully I will have these first 270 strips in book form for you all to buy soon.
