I got to make the ham for Easter dinner with my family this year. Thanks to Alton Brown I have a pretty much foolproof recipe (slightly altered) that never disappoints, unless you’re, like, from another dimension where everything is opposite and those formed ham-like meat logs are a delicacy.
I’m pretty sure it’s the first time I’ve ever made my ham for them, and I think they were pleased, if the necessary constant vigilance to keep my mom and sister from sneaking nicely crusted pieces off of the cutting board was any indication.
