    I love it.

  2. Jonathan

    Uh-oh!

  3. Kevin I

I love that this is actually very, very close to the origin of Spider-man and his symbiote..

  4. Jenna

Am I the only one who had to look up what a symbiote was? I’m up to speed now (thank you Wikipedia) and eager to see how this storyline progresses…

  5. Pam

So, if I have this correct, is Sylar symbiote? Maybe Peter, without the desire to kill?

  6. Tim

No, Pam, not at all correct. Nothing to do with Heroes at all, unless it’s a plot twist yet to come! ;)

In the Marvel Comics universe, a symbiote is an alien life-form that attaches itself to someone and lives symbiotically, feeding off of them in some way while giving them powers (or enhanced powers) in return. They tend to also be evil and/or insane. If you saw Spider-man 3, one of the plots was an evil symbiote who bonded with Spider-man in the form of a new black costume, got rejected by him, but then bonded with someone else who hated Spidey too and together they became Venom. In the comics, Spider-man basically did get his symbiotic costume from a vending machine, but that’s a long story.

I hope I’m not spoiling whatever Chris has in mind! I imagine he figures people who are familiar with the comic book symbiote get the reference though, so I’m not worried. :)

Errm … wasn’t this done on The Tick a few years back? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0723374/ or http://www.thetick.ws/car27.html
