Mmmm… Baklava…
April 21st, 2008 by Chris

Okay, so this didn’t happen.

I did work with a police sketch artist like this at a later date though, and it was a really odd experience. That time it was involving an attempt to describe someone who wasn’t wearing a balaclava, which you’d think would be much easier, but it was actually surprisingly difficult to recollect as much detail as they like. My description was good enough that I was later brought in to look at a “photo lineup” of suspects, but I never heard if they caught that guy.

Also, baklava is delicious and now I want to make some.

    HAHAHAHAH man now I’m hungry.

Heh! Love the sketch of the robbers with baklava heads.

Incidentally, I had never heard the word balaclava before. Gotta keep that one around so I can whip it out at parties.

Yeah, I’m told it’s not as common a term in America as it is in Canada. You and your silly “ski masks”. They were clearly not skiing!

But then again, it should not come as a surprise that Canada has more words for things meant to keep one warm. ;)

Yah… we don’t use “balaclava” like, at all here in the States. Every single time I hear it, I think “Mmm! Baklava!”
