Because we have so many other big gift-giving events at this time of year (Christmas, our Anniversary, her birthday and then my birthday — which is tomorrow!) Valentine’s day is intentionally a pretty low-key holiday for my wife and I. There are some flowers, a nice dinner together, and hopefully lots o’ chocolate (dark for me, please) but it’s not a big deal for us.  We make a point of expressing our love every day, and all that jazz.

I’m no Antivalentinist though, so I must say that it sure is nice not to have to go through any more Valentine’s Days alone.  I’m a very lucky guy.
