Eyes of the Kitty
October 11th, 2007 by Chris

This isn’t that far off at all from how I actually got my kitty, Sushi, back in the day.

She was dropped off at the food bank for my parents’ church one day (why, I’ve never figured out), and on a trip to visit the folks (for mom’s birthday, if I remember correctly) I took her in. I didn’t have a carrier, so she rode on my shoulder most of the ten hour drive home. It was to become one of her favorite places to hang out in the days ahead. :-)

As I recall the day Sushi joined our lives…

While I was sitting at the front desk of the Foodbank a person walked in with her and said…”Here’s a kitten,” and left her on my desk. We found some tuna for her which she devoured in no time. She continued to eat every possible thing she could. I brought her home (as I didn’t feel giving her out in a food hamper was a good idea) and the rest is history.

That is quite possibly the most adorable cartoon kitten I have ever laid eyes on. Just makes me want to go “AWWWWWWWWWW!! Little nubbin!”
